Application:
This is the online application form for the Study trip to Portugal from May 14 to May 21, 2023. We will select 25 applicants total for this trip. Priority will be given to Architects, Interior Designers, Stone Installers and General Contractors for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but others are allowed to apply and will be considered for participation. The selection will be on a "first come first served" basis. After the 25 spots are filled, we will create a waiting list for interested candidates. The language of the conference will be English.
Costs to participants: TOTAL FOR LAND PACKAGE: $2500.
Each participant will pay for round-trip air travel. Once your application is processed, you will receive an acceptance letter for the program and you will be asked to pay a participation fee of $500.00 USD to confirm your spot on the tour. This fee will be refundable until April 3, 2023 in case of cancellation. After that date, the fee will be non refundable. Each participant will also be responsible for their transportation to and from the hotel on the day of arrival in Portugal and the day of departure. Hotels, meals and bus transportation will provided while you are in Portugal with the group. Hotel reservations are based on one participant per room. Note There will be a supplement for hotels and meals if you choose to bring a guest. Participation for guests will be based on availability...first come first served.
Payment Schedule
1. Apply and wait for acceptance of application.
2. Upon acceptance, you will receive a link to pay the $500 deposit to confirm your place (refundable until April 3, 2023). Your place is not confirmed until we receive this deposit. Participation will be on a first come first served basis. Each participant will be responsable for their own airfare. Guests will be allowed up to the maximum seating on the bus.
3. Balance for the Land Package of $2,000 will be due on April 3, 2023. This amount will be 50% refundable until April 30, 2023. It will be non rundable after that unless we can fill your spot with another participant from the waiting list.
NOTE: Given the global situation, we strongly suggest getting travel insurance and/or refundable airfare.
LAND PACKAGE in Portugal. The registration fee of $2500 will cover the cost of:
7 nights hotel (In: May 14 out May 21) with breakfast in the hotel each day. Lunch and Dinner will be included if participants choose to eat with the group. The trip will also include bus transfers from the hotels to the companies/quarries each day. Included in the fees is: Registration for AIA credit, participation certificate upon completing of the course, if requested. Most of the seminars during the conference will qualify for AIA HSW credit.
